When you have selected your chauffeur, you can chat with him via the DriveMe app. And when the ride is completed, DriveMe sends you an invoice via email and places the invoice in your account.

What does a private driver cost?

A complete network of motivated and driven self-employed drivers are at your disposal through DriveMe. Starting rates in the Economy Class are € 12,50 ex VAT per hour.

Frequently asked questions

It’s the product of the rate per hour and the length of the ride. Most drivers have a minimum order of 3 hours. When a ride doesn’t start and end at the same location, a travel reimbursement is charged.

All drivers on the platform are screened by DriveMe. By means of practical and theoretical tests and the driver certification (if applicable), the driver is classified in the Economy, Comfort or Business class.

In The Netherlands, all cars have to be insured. Not the drivers. This means that the driver will drive with the coverage conditions of your car insurance.

DriveMe sends an invoice when the ride is finished. You can also find the invoice in your account afterwards. We’re developing automated payments in 2021.

Usually you can expect a reaction within 2 hours. Drivers tend to like longer rides more than shorter rides so these rides get more subscriptions on the average.

As long as restrictions are applicable, the drivers handle these guidelines:

  • The driver disinfects steer, gear shift handle, door handles etc
  • Passengers are asked to sit in the back of the car
  • The passenger opens and shuts his own door
  • The driver will wear a face mask
  • Luggage is handled by the passenger
